Due to the low ceilings within this old cottage, the client opted not to have wall units which creates a greater sense of space within the kitchen and gives it a more contemporary feel, allowing the eye to be drawn out to the amazing view beyond which really is the main event. We were also asked to link the kitchen with the oak framed extension beyond and this was achieved with a small peninsula between the two spaces – pull-out bin unit one side, bookcase the other.
