The island really is the focal point in this kitchen – our lovely client was quite clear from the start that she wanted something a little different and asked us to explore how to incorporate a curved bar seating area within the island. Raising the curve a little above the main work surface cleverly disguises any cooking mess beyond and the silhouette aids traffic flow around the island. The combination of quartz and granite worktops complement each other beautifully, while the oak bar top echoes the oak detailing of the mantel above the AGA and interior of the glazed units either side.
